Crown Heights CSA is a volunteer-run organization. Each share comes with a requirement to volunteer for four hours during the season - but many people give much more time and we hope you will too!
There are many ways you can fulfill your volunteer commitment. Here are some suggestions, contact the person listed below to participate.
Work a Distribution Shift
Volunteers run the weekly distribution, distributing vegetables to fellow CSA members. Volunteer from 4:30-6:30pm or 6:30-8:30pm.

Work on Georgia's Place Rooftop Farm
Volunteers needed to work on the rooftop farm at Georgia's Place. Tasks include weeding, planting, watering and pest management.

Site coordinator
Site coordinators manage the weekly pickup, including setting up and cleaning up the distribution, and managing volunteers. Once every six weeks, 4-8:30pm.

Fundraising Team
Help raise money to support subsidized shares, to assist low income members of the community with participating in the CSA. Activities include grant writing, outreach events and more.

Finance Team
Help manage our finances at the weekly pickup, including food stamp payments and cash for subsidized shares.

Communications Team
